Wind gusts of up to 40 miles an hour and scattered power outages Sunday didn’t stop local beer lovers from tapping into Craft 260 Beer Bar/Bistro’s Brewfest, a benefit held in the restaurant’s parking lot.

Eleven Connecticut-based brewers participated in the event. Tickets were $15 a pop, 100 percent of which benefited Community Plates, a non-profit organization that strives to end hunger in Fairfield County.

Visitors strolled from vendor to vendor, sampling beer brands along with chunky, sweet chili that Craft 260 co-owner and chef Vinny Mascaro prepared for the occasion. Providing a musical backdrop, the Tony Ferrigno Band played classic rock and blues. Also featured during the event was a raffle of cards, hats and tee-shirts.
