Black Hog Helps is excited to announce Barktoberfest at Black Hog!
Join us on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 1 PM – 5 PM for Black Hog’s first Oktoberfest style event that will benefit Companion Pet Rescue of Southbury (CPR). One dollar from every pint sold and proceeds from can sales will be donated to CPR.
This past summer we held a pretty popular puppy event – Pints for Pups, raising $761 and pairing five out of seven dogs with their furever homes. As the weather is turning colder, and visions of toasty malty beers are on our minds, we decided to pair three of our favorite things for a fall day of frolic: adorable dogs, delicious eats, and the unveiling of a new Black Hog Beer named for our amazing partnership with CPR – Barktoberfest.
Barktoberfest is a traditional fest-style German lager, featuring biscuit-y malt notes from Munich malt. Lager yeast lends it a crisp and clean finish, making it a gulper instead of a sipper and the perfect accompaniment to a chilly fall day.
Please keep in mind, CPR can never guarantee same-day approvals at events, so please visit cprdogs.com to view adoptable dogs and fill out an application for pre-approval. The list of available dogs changes often so visit cprdogs.com soon to keep your place in line!
The Comfort Zone Food Truck will be slingin’ pretzels
Keep ’em Rollin’ will be slingin’ specialty egg rolls for the day!
The Drunk Alpaca will be slingin’ beer snacks!
We hope you join us to warm your hearts with puppy love and bellies with toasty fall beer.
